A man in his 50s is being prosecuted on suspicion of gross negligence in leaving the scene of an accident, after a teenage boy died on E18 in October, reports P4 Stockholm.
According to the prosecutor, the man understood that he had hit a person, but did not call the police, ambulance, or rescue services.
The teenage boy was said to have been on foot on the road outside Vallentuna when he was hit by a truck and died. The driver was arrested later at the harbor in Kapellskär outside Norrtälje.
Previously, the man was prosecuted for causing another person's death, but the charge was changed since the prosecutor believes it was a pure accident.
