Danes who want to travel to China will no longer need to apply for a visa.
This is the outcome of a meeting between Denmark's Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen and his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in New York on Thursday.
"The visa-free policy is expected to boost tourism and promote greater exchanges between the two countries", it says in a statement on the Danish Foreign Ministry's website.
It is still unclear when the visa-free agreement will come into effect.
