The crisis-stricken aircraft manufacturer Boeing needs to bring in money. Now the company has decided to carry out a new share issue of nearly 19 billion dollars, around 200 billion kronor.

The new share issue will be one of the largest ever by an American company.

The company is under great economic pressure, not least due to the strike that has been ongoing since September and is expected to lead to losses of up to one billion dollars per month.

The report for the third quarter also showed a loss of 6.2 billion dollars.
