China welcomes and supports all efforts for peace, said Wang at a press conference during the annual People's Congress in Beijing on Saturday.
He avoided giving a direct answer to a question about whether China can consider sending peacekeeping forces to Ukraine.
Wang promised, however, to maintain the relationship with Russia, which according to him will not be affected by external factors.
The friendship between China and Russia will not change, assured Wang at the press conference and continued:

The USA's rapprochement with Russia with restored diplomatic talks between the countries has been highlighted by analysts as a factor that can affect the partnership between Beijing and Moscow.
