Challenging competition and still cautious consumers are affecting the glasses chain Synsam. The company's operating profit rose slightly during the third quarter, 187 million kronor compared to 184 million during the same period in 2024. This at the same time as net sales increased by 7.4 percent to approximately 1.5 billion kronor.
"Although consumers now see a slightly more positive future, their purchasing behavior is still characterized by great caution. We also see that competition for consumers is generally more challenging," says CEO Per Hedblom in the report.
The company's goal of establishing 90 new stores during the period 2024-26 remains, with 32 already started in 2024.
"With our focus on establishing ourselves in smaller towns to a greater extent, we are also achieving strong demand immediately and benefiting from lower rents," says CEO Per Hedblom.
