In total, 268 schools in Hungary were evacuated on Thursday after receiving bomb threats.
No explosive materials have been found in the schools that have been investigated by the police so far.
The authorities have turned to colleagues in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Bulgaria, where similar threats were made last year.
In May 2024, over 1,000 schools in Slovakia were threatened with bombs, and in September, several hundred threats were made against schools in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Then, accusations were directed towards "Russian influences".
