Sweden has been shaken by a wave of violence lately. Just on Tuesday, several explosions occurred, most of them in the Stockholm area. Moreover, a man was shot to death in Lund.

The year has begun with a number of explosions around the country. And Tuesday, January 28, was no exception.

The police were alerted at 3 am about an explosion in Ödåkra outside Helsingborg. Something had detonated at a villa and caused minor damage to the property.

An hour later, a new explosion occurred, this time in connection with an apartment building in Kärrtorp in southern Stockholm. There was minor damage to a door.

At 8:45 am, the police were alerted about an explosion at an apartment building in Bagarmossen in southern Stockholm. A window or balcony door was damaged. The police have arrested two people who were already wanted in another case.

At lunchtime, two grenade-like objects were found near buildings in Blåsut in southern Stockholm. The police later carried out a controlled detonation of the objects.

At 4:45 pm, an alarm was raised about a loud bang in Årstaberg in southern Stockholm. Some form of detonation had occurred. A window in a door to an apartment building was shattered.

Just before 6:30 pm, a 30-year-old man was shot to death at the train station in Lund. Several shots were fired. A younger man has been arrested.

Already at 1 am on Tuesday night, a shooting had occurred. Then, shots were fired at a door to an apartment building in Hallonbergen, north of Stockholm.
