The mining company Boliden is buying two mines from Lundin Mining – the Neves-Corvo mine in Portugal and the Zinkgruvan mine in Sweden.
The total purchase price is estimated to be 15.9 billion Swedish kronor, of which approximately 14.3 billion kronor will be paid in cash.
"The addition of two cash flow-generating zinc and copper mines in Portugal and Sweden has strong industrial logic and fits strategically well", says Boliden's CEO Mikael Staffas in a press release.
The transaction is expected to be completed by the middle of next year.
