Car manufacturers BMW and Tesla are suing the EU Commission in dissatisfaction over the tariffs of up to 45 percent that the EU has imposed on electric car manufacturers in China.
German BMW points out that the tariffs do not strengthen the competitiveness of European electric car manufacturers, but rather the opposite. BMW has been negatively affected since the company manufactures the electric version of the Mini Cooper in China. Tesla, in turn, imports cars to the European market, manufactured in China.
