Panauwat Boonchaliew works as a police officer but was on leave on Friday when the quake was felt in Thailand's capital. He was sitting at a café near the high-rise building and picked up his mobile phone to film.

In the video clip, it can be seen how the construction collapses. People are running screaming under the enormous dust cloud that quickly spreads in the area. Even Panauwat Boonchaliew is forced to run to get away from the danger.

The collapse is the largest damage from the quake that has been recorded in Thailand so far. More than 80 people are reported to have been buried by the rubble. Three people have so far been confirmed dead.
