In the Bellevuegården area, two teenage boys, one under 15 years old, were arrested on Tuesday night with weapons and at least one explosive device after the police noticed them through surveillance cameras.

According to the Malmö police, they are "convinced" that they prevented a serious violent crime by making the arrest. The boys are suspected of preparation for general destruction, serious weapons offenses, and offenses against the law on hazardous and explosive goods.

During the day, two people, aged 30 and 40, were arrested, suspected of preparation for general destruction in the same case. The boy under 15 was later released, but is still suspected.

In the afternoon, two 17-year-old boys were arrested in the adjacent Lorensborg area. Firearms were also found there.

They are suspected of preparation for murder and serious weapons offenses, says police spokesperson Nils Norling.

On Wednesday night, three more teenage boys between 15 and 18 years old were arrested and detained, suspected of aggravated arson after a fire attack on a restaurant on Möllevången.

This is the third time in a short period that the same restaurant has been targeted in an attack.
