Apple retakes first place as the world's highest-valued company. And thereby pushes rival Microsoft down to second place.

The iPhone manufacturer presented as recently as Monday the company's forthcoming investments in artificial intelligence and announced, among other things, that it will collaborate with Open AI.

The news from Apple was not noticeably reflected on the stock exchange in the USA – until Tuesday. Then the share rose by 7.3 per cent to a new record level. The increase is the largest for the Apple share on a single trading day since November 2022.

Apple is now valued at approximately 3,294 billion dollars. Microsoft is second with a market value of 3,242 billion dollars.

On third place on Wall Street's list of the highest-valued companies is the American semiconductor giant Nvidia, which has come to occupy a key position in the AI race. The company is valued at 3,109 billion dollars.
