With new forces, Stina Källberg was able to first take a double victory, together with Linda Bergström, and then win in singles at the competitions in Linz, Austria.

In the second round, Källberg met Welshwoman Anna Hursey and won in four straight sets.

She's a really good player I'm meeting. If she plays at her highest level, it's hard to beat her. Today, she didn't reach her highest level and I was stable throughout the match, so I won, says Källberg to SVT.

She tells how she was able to recharge after Thursday when she was tearful before the fourth match.

The double victory this morning did wonders and I got a good night's sleep. It was new energy today, says Källberg.

In the eighth round, the Swede will meet home player Sofia Polcanova, ranked 14th in the world.

It will be an absolutely tough match, but I believe in myself, says the 65th-ranked Källberg.

Linda Bergström has also advanced to the eighth final. This after winning over Croatian Ivana Malobabic without losing a set.

It was really nice to win 4–0. I wanted to avoid a long match and played as I wanted to play against this type of opponent. I really dared to play today, says Bergström to SVT.

She will next meet European number two Bernadette Szocz, Romania. But she doesn't fear the opposition.

Last time I lost to her, I think was 2019. Since then, I've met her at least three times and won all. It's going to be a fun match, I think it's fun to meet her, says Bergström.
