In the beginning of July, trotting coach Peter Eriksson was involved in an accident at Rättvikstravet when he was kicked by a horse.
After lying in a coma for a longer period at the Academic Hospital in Uppsala, Eriksson has now woken up, writes Aftonbladet.
Now his partner, Malin Lundmark, tells the newspaper about the tough time after the accident.
"I'm doing well considering the circumstances and we're working well at home with the horses. It's been absolutely tough, but you just have to keep fighting and accept the help I can get. Peter and I have fantastic friends and family", she writes in an SMS.
After the accident, a collection has been started to help Eriksson with his rehabilitation. It has now exceeded 300,000 kronor.
"I'm incredibly grateful for the entire trotting family and all the thoughts, hugs, and SMS", Lundmark continues.
