A 17-year-old boy in Gothenburg has been sentenced to two years of closed youth care after a brawl that ended with the death of a close relative last spring.
The boy has been convicted of aggravated assault, gross negligence leading to another person's death, and gross child abuse, reports Gothenburg-Posten.
According to other family members, the origin was a brawl over a mobile charger earlier in the day. After dinner, the boy stabbed the relative in the back with a long fruit knife.
He has denied the crime and said it was an accident, but was prosecuted on suspicion of murder. However, the district court does not believe it has been proven that the boy had full intent or intent to murder.
