It was in January that the boy attacked the woman with knife stabs in the back when she was walking her dog.

The boy is said to have had connections to violence-advocating groups on the internet.

During the so-called evidence trial that was conducted in Borås district court, the boy admitted to the knife attack, which he also livestreamed on the internet.

Borås district court considered it proven that the 14-year-old stabbed the woman, but not with the intention of killing and acquitted the boy of the crime of attempted murder. But the court of appeal considers that the boy has made himself guilty of gross assault.

The boy, who, since he is a minor, cannot be sentenced to any punishment, will also have to pay a higher compensation to the woman who was subjected to the knife attack.
