The police were alerted on Thursday evening to a local in Hagfors where 13 people are suspected to have been poisoned by carbon monoxide.

It is unclear what triggered the whole thing, but they have shown symptoms indicating carbon monoxide poisoning. It is possible that some of them may have fainted, but all those involved were awake and able to talk when we arrived, says the police's press spokesperson Evelina Åström.

The police assisted the rescue service in transporting the affected to the hospital. The carbon monoxide is suspected to have come from some kind of oven.

We have filed a report on causing bodily harm, but no one has been suspected, says Åström.
