BusinessThe state is to decide where offshore wind farms are to be built in the future. But no economic support for wind power builders is included, according to the investigation presented on 13 December. The industry therefore fears that the new projects will now be postponed many years ahead in time.
BusinessVattenfall will start charging more for unsorted waste. The high proportion of plastic in the district heating plant is to be reduced. The aim is to push this further back in the chain, says Anders Pettersson at Vattenfall Heat.
BusinessThe Government says yes to a new sea-based wind farm on the west coast. Locally, The Moderate Party has warned that such "monstrosities" will lead to a "Liseberg at sea". We get long-awaited production for western Sweden, says Climate Minister Romina Pourmokhtari (L).
Swedish politicsThe electricity prices are at record low levels. Too low, thinks state-owned energy giant Vattenfall. It becomes harder to invest simply, says CEO Anna Borg.

BusinessThe potential nuclear power plant builders, Vattenfall and Fortum, are of course positive to the proposal that the state takes a large part of the risk. However, whether the price guarantee of 80 öre per kWh is sufficient is uncertain. It is too early to determine that level, says Desirée Comstedt at Vattenfall.
