Six Sentenced to Death in Connection with Iran Protests

Six men are sentenced to death in Iran, accused of being behind a murder of a member of Iran's notorious militia Basij. The Basij member was stabbed in the Ekbatan area of Tehran in November 2022, in connection with protests against the regime that were triggered when 22-year-old Mahsa Zhina Amini died after being taken into police custody for not being considered to have followed the strict hijab rules sufficiently.
