Lynx hunt appealed as threatening the survival of the species

153 lynxes will be shot in this year's licensed hunt, a sharp increase from last year. According to the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation, this violates EU law and hunting legislation and threatens the survival of the population; the society is appealing this year's hunt.
