A woman has been hit by a car at Brunnsbotorget in Gothenburg. The car then continued into a church, local media report.
According to the police, the woman suffered injuries to her upper body, but was awake and able to speak.
It appears that the car backed into some vehicles and then drove forward and hit the wall of a church. In connection with this, a woman was also hit, says Jens Andersson, police press spokesperson.
She is awake and able to speak, but has pain in her upper body and has been taken to hospital by ambulance.
What lies behind the incident is too early to say, according to the police.
The car driver, an elderly man, is suspected of gross negligence in traffic, causing bodily harm, and vandalism.
We are talking to witnesses and will also talk to the man who drove the car, so we'll see what we end up with, says Jens Andersson.
