A woman in her 90s has died after a fire in an apartment building in Skövde.
The rescue service was alerted on Sunday morning and smoke divers found the woman in the apartment where the fire had started during the rescue operation.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
It is cordoned off for a technical investigation to see if we can find the cause of the fire, says the police's press spokesperson Jens Andersson.
The police have initiated a preliminary investigation into gross negligence.
