The Systembolaget is recalling the product "Skrewball whiskey & peanut butter flavoured spirit drink 35%, 700 ml" as it contains the allergen sesame, which is not indicated on the label.
The recall affects approximately 800 bottles that have been sold since August 9 this year.
"It has come to our attention on Tuesday morning that Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey not only contains nuts but also sesame, which is an allergen. This is, of course, serious and therefore we are stopping the sale of the product", says product quality manager Pontus Jennerholm, in a press release.
The peanut butter whiskey is blocked for sale and those who have purchased the bottle have the opportunity to return it and get their money back. The supplier will relabel the bottle and clarify that it contains sesame, the company announces.
