The boy was shot with multiple shots in the Navestad district at around 20:00 on April 14. He was found injured outdoors and was taken to the hospital, but his life could not be saved.
He was shot in the neck and against the chest, says prosecutor Karin Sanén.
One of the 25-year-olds, the suspected shooter, is being prosecuted for murder and aggravated weapons offense, while the other is being prosecuted for aiding and abetting murder and aggravated weapons offense.
Ordered a taxi
The aid has, among other things, consisted of him allegedly having let the perpetrator use his apartment and ordered a taxi to and from the crime scene for him.
The weapon, a semi-automatic converted gas pistol, has according to the prosecutor been handled by both men together and in agreement before the shooting.
The murder is believed to be linked to a conflict between criminal networks in the city that has resulted in a long series of serious violent crimes, including several murders, over the past year.
The boy who was murdered was previously unconvicted, but a relative of his has, according to NT, figured in gang criminal contexts.
Lured there
Karin Sandén tells that the 16-year-old was lured to the crime scene.
He has received messages that made him go to a certain place, she says.
Much of the evidence is based on phone traffic and chats, and those data suggest that several people have been involved in the crime.
Aliases have been used, but we do not know who is behind them, we have not been able to identify everyone, says Sandén.
The two men who are being prosecuted have been detained since May. Both deny the crime.
The 25-year-old who is being prosecuted for murder is also being prosecuted for preparation for murder and instigation to murder in Gothenburg in April 2024.
Neither of the men is a Swedish citizen, and the prosecutor is requesting that both be deported.
