The Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump believes that Israel should attack Iran's nuclear energy facilities, as a response to the recent large-scale Iranian robot attack on Israel.
It was at an election meeting in Fayetteville, North Carolina, that Trump brought up a question that President Joe Biden was asked the other day. It concerned Iran's facilities for developing nuclear energy, which the international community fears could be used for developing nuclear weapons. Could they be suitable targets for Israel?
When they asked him that question, he should have answered 'yes, strike it first, other things can wait', said Trump.
Biden answered no. Wrong, according to Trump.
But isn't that what you want to strike, or what? continued Trump at the election meeting.
Biden has said that there is a discussion with Israel about a response to the robot attacks. Biden said that Israel has the right to respond to the attack, but it must be proportionate, not unlimited in scope.
