The Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute has issued a yellow warning for torrential rain in parts of inland Svealand and northernmost Östergötland.
On Wednesday morning and forenoon, the rain will move in from the south. The warning area, where intense rain can cause flooding, stretches from Norrköping in the south, over Örebro and Eskilstuna, as well as Falun and Rättvik in the north.
The rain warning is in effect between 05 and 14. It is uncertain where the largest amounts will occur, but heavier showers can bring 30 to 50 millimeters of rain in a short time.
In the northern parts of the area, the rain may continue during the afternoon, but in smaller amounts.
A yellow warning for high water flows has already been issued for Östergötland and around northern Vättern, where the ground is already saturated due to previous rain.
