The deposits on different bottles and cans are now being raised. Those who return an aluminum can or small PET bottle will receive two kronor instead of the previous one krona. The deposit on a large PET bottle is simultaneously being raised to three kronor (previously two kronor).
"We see a small increase in our high return rate every year, which is now just below 90 percent. By making this increase, we are giving the system an additional boost so that we can recycle even more cans and bottles," says Tomas Kjellker, CEO of Returpack/Pantamera in a press release.
