At 9.92 kronor per dollar, the Swedish krona has fallen 7.12 percent against the US dollar so far this year, according to Bloomberg’s weekly dollar index.
It is by far the worst-performing of the so-called G10 currencies.
Other G10 currencies that have lost ground against the US dollar are the Danish krone, down 4.39 percent, and the euro, down 4.32 percent.
The Norwegian krone has been the strongest, up 6.92 percent against the dollar. The Australian dollar has risen 4.09 percent.
Last year, by contrast, the Swedish krona strengthened against the US dollar week after week.
