The suspected object at Linköping University has been deemed harmless and the cordons are now lifted.
The alarm about a suspected dangerous object found outdoors came from private individuals at 9:30 am and the police cordoned off a large area at the university.
The National Bomb Squad was called in to assess the situation and could then confirm that it was a harmless object, says Olle Älveroth, press spokesperson for the police region East.
During the operation, people in nearby buildings were told to stay indoors.
