Fires broke out in an apartment and in the basement of a multi-family house in Lerum, outside Gothenburg on Monday morning. By 2 pm, both fires were extinguished.
The police suspect that the fires were arson and a 55-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated arson. The extent of the damage is currently unclear.
There is at least no report of anyone being injured. But we will return with information if there are any personal injuries, says Jens Andersson, press spokesperson for the police.
A crime scene investigation of the fire sites will be conducted on Tuesday.
