Combo games, the Social Democrats' criticized lottery business, will not actively seek out customers who may not have understood that they signed up for a lottery subscription.
According to Ekot, Kombispel's new CEO Jonas Nygren says that about 50 dissatisfied customers have contacted them. However, no decision has yet been made about whether they will get their money back.
Kombispel's sales methods, via telemarketing companies, were highlighted a month ago by Dagens Nyheter. The telephone sales were targeted at an older demographic and the sales methods were described as aggressive.
After the revelation, the Social Democrats have faced severe criticism. The CEO and board of Kombilotteriet were forced to resign, and telephone sales of lotteries have been paused.
