Skanska has taken a Finnish multi-billion order. The construction company has been commissioned to build a tram depot in Helsinki.
The contract signed with City Transport Ltd is valued at approximately 2.9 billion kronor, writes Skanska in a press release.
The 41,000 square meter depot is scheduled to start construction in the first half of 2025 and is expected to take around four years to complete. It will be used for approximately 50 trams for daily maintenance, cleaning, and repairs.
