Japan will invest 550 billion dollars, equivalent to over 5,200 billion kronor, in the USA, writes Trump on Truth Social.

”This agreement will create hundreds of thousands of jobs – there has never been anything like it before”, he claims.

The President also states that Japan will open up its market for, among other things, cars, trucks and rice from the USA. He describes it as a ”very exciting” time for the USA, especially since the country continues to have good relations with Japan.

Japan's Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba confirms that the tariffs on cars will be 15 percent, unlike the 25 percent that has applied since April.

We are the first (country) in the world to lower the tariffs on cars and car parts, without any restriction on volume, he says.

According to the Japanese government's chief negotiator Ryosei Akazawa, neither steel, aluminum nor defense expenditures are included in the agreement.

The USA is participating in several intense negotiations about the country's tariffs, including with the EU.
