The course increase so far this year is thus reduced to just over 5 percent.

SAP's revenues from the sale of software and cloud services increased by 11 percent to almost 7.97 billion euros during the second quarter. But analysts had expected something more, according to Bloomberg.

SAP confirms its annual forecast when it comes to cloud revenues, but the currency turbulence in the shadow of trade conflicts around the world is expected to push down growth by 3.5 percentage points.

SAP generates more than 30 percent of its revenues from sales in the USA, which makes the company sensitive to a weakened dollar.
