The police have been alerted to Hagsätra in southern Stockholm, following reports of gunfire in the area. The incident is classified as attempted murder.
We have received a large number of reports that shots were fired near the center, and we have also secured shell casings, says Ola Österling, press spokesperson for the police.
A hunt is underway for the perpetrator or perpetrators in Hagsätra and we have cordoned off the area.
The alarm about the incident came in to the police at 20.36 on Monday.
Two plaintiffs were identified later in the evening and have been questioned about the events, but neither of them is injured.
We believe that the shots were most likely intended for them. They narrowly escaped the bullets, says Ola Österling.
