Ten people, both children and adults, had their personal data exposed on Landskrona Municipality's website. This involved both names and personal identification numbers – and decisions made about them by a municipal committee.
It's of course extremely serious, says Johan Agerblom, operations manager at the individual and family administration, to HD/Sydsvenskan.
He does not want to go into what the decisions concerned, but the committee deals with cases that can involve placements, care measures, and custody.
The information was included in a protocol from a committee meeting that was available on the municipality's website for four days before the mistake was discovered. Such personal data should be protected by confidentiality before the protocol is published, but that did not happen in this case.
An internal investigation is currently underway, and the mistake has also been reported by the municipality to the Data Protection Authority. Those affected have been informed by the municipality.
