During the Saturday afternoon, a summer blot for those who believe in Norse paganism will be held at Rökstenen in Östergötland, reports Sveriges Radio P4 Östergötland. 200 people have signed up for the blot, which is a kind of worship service for those who believe in Norse paganism.
They will form a circle around Rökstenen and make offerings to the old gods, says Kristian Svensson from Linköping, who is vice chairman of the Nordic ASA community.
It is usually mostly fruit, flowers and seeds. We blot all organic things that exist, which nature can take care of, he says to Sveriges Radio.
There will also be an initiation ritual for new believers in Norse paganism, since Norse paganism is growing in Sweden, according to Kristian Svensson.
