The Russian drone that crashed in the Rezekne region in Latvia on Saturday was loaded with explosives.
The drone, which was of the Iranian type Shahed, was neutralized, according to the Latvian defense. It is believed that the drone was on its way to Ukraine when it accidentally entered Latvian airspace.
We will share the results of the analysis of the drone with all our NATO allies. It does not appear to have been heading towards any military targets in the country, says the Latvian commander Leonids Kalnins.
Latvia is a NATO country, like Romania, where a Russian drone violated airspace on Sunday night.
