The one who will take over the party leader post that a number of prominent liberals have already declined will have to struggle to try to pull the party up over the parliamentary threshold. This is shown by a new measurement for June that Novus has done for TV4 News. In the survey, where 1904 people were asked between June 2 and 13, The Liberals receive only 2.1 percent.
The Christian Democrats also end up below the 4 percent threshold (3.8 percent) despite the fact that support for them has increased slightly. The Center Party's much-discussed Hatt effect and wind in the sails in public opinion has already begun to subside and falls back to 5.4 percent since May. The opposition (if you count the Center Party among them) continues to pull away from the government parties and is now more than 9 percentage points ahead. Both The Moderate Party and the Sweden Democrats also fall back slightly (-0.2) to 18.3 and 20.2 percent, respectively, while the Social Democrats (+0.8), the Left Party (+0.2), and the Green Party (+0.5) increase somewhat.
