A person reported to the police that they had been threatened with death, among other things, around 40 times. Now the former congregation employee is being prosecuted for false alarm and risks four years in prison, writes the newspaper Mitt i Stockholm.
After all the reported death threats, the police set up personal protection and several investigative measures were taken. But after about a year, the investigators began to suspect otherwise - that the now prosecuted person had threatened themselves.
During my 18 years, I have never been involved in a case like this before, says prosecutor Jenny Karlsson to the newspaper.
The prosecuted person has thus written the letters to themselves, according to the prosecutor.
Yes, that's what I claim. That it's the person themselves who fabricated the threat letters.
