Violent wave in Norrköping harvested two new victims last night when two men were shot dead in the Hageby district.

It's still too early to link the latest incident to gang crime, emphasizes Frida Braf, local police district chief in Norrköping, at a press meeting near the crime scene.

In recent times, Norrköping has been hit by several shootings and violent crimes. The police believe that several conflicts between criminal groups in the municipality have been ongoing for some time. Frida Braf also considers the police to be equipped to handle the wave of violence.

Since a month ago, the police have had the opportunity to introduce so-called visitation zones, which give special powers to search for, for example, weapons without suspicion of a crime. None of these are currently relevant here – at least not yet.

But would you say that you have control over the situation?
