The man who was detained for terrorist crimes in Sweden has been released, confirms his lawyer Robin Grönvall.

I think it seems reasonable, says the defender to TT.

The man himself has denied the crime.

The prosecutor Mats Ljungqvist also confirms, via the Prosecutor's Office press service, that the detention has been lifted.

The suspicion remains, but has weakened and the investigation continues, says Helena Ekström at the Prosecutor's Office.

He was arrested in the Stockholm area on Wednesday, which TV4 News was the first to report on. The Security Service has been working on the case "for some time" before the raid took place, but the investigation is in a "very early stage".

Mats Ljungqvist has previously confirmed to TT that the crime the man is suspected of was committed in August this year. He does not want to go into the nature of the crime or any details in the investigation.

According to Gabriel Wernstedt at the Security Service, there is no danger to the public related to the case.
