Malaysian police have arrested 355 people as part of an investigation into child abuse at care homes. The homes in question are run by an Islamic conglomerate.

The suspects were arrested on Saturday, according to police chief Razarudin Husain. The operation aimed to track down the remaining members of the business group Global Ikhwan Services and Business, which the police believe is linked to a banned Islamic sect.
