An adult who was previously suspected of protecting a perpetrator in connection with the murder of a 14-year-old girl in Landskrona has been cleared from the investigation, reports HD/Sydsvenskan.
Prosecutor Pernilla Nilsson states that there is not sufficient evidence to bring charges in that part.
The 14-year-old girl was found dead in an industrial area in Landskrona on the night of Tuesday, July 23. A 15-year-old girl is detained as a suspect for murder, and a girl of high school age is also suspected of murder, but since she is under 15 years old, she has been handed over to social authorities.
Previously, the two teenage girls were also suspected of kidnapping, but that suspicion has also been dropped.
It's actually the same motivation and thoughts around it. When the preliminary investigation is about to be completed and I need to think about what I can prove and what I can't prove, I don't get any further in that part, the prosecutor comments to the newspaper.
Five more youths are suspected of aiding and abetting aggravated assault.
