This is the second arrest in the case. A 19-year-old man was previously arrested for aiding and abetting the murders of the two British citizens who were found dead in the burned-out car.

On Monday, another person suspected of having committed the double murder was arrested. The person is reasonably suspected, the lower degree of suspicion, which Sydsvenskan was the first to report on.

Last night, I made a decision to arrest a person in their absence. The person was arrested this morning in Skåne. I won't say more than that right now, says prosecutor Magnus Pettersson to TT.

On Friday, the police conducted a new technical investigation at the crime scene.

The bodies were found after a car fire in an industrial area in Malmö on Sunday, July 14. The incident is being investigated as a suspected double murder.

It wasn't until mid-August that the deceased were identified. They were two Britons who had rented a car at Kastrup and then driven to Malmö. The prosecutor has not wanted to comment on why they were in Malmö.
