A person has died in a head-on collision between two cars on the national road 61 outside Kil.
The alarm about the accident came at 18.30 on Thursday. Later, the police announced that the driver of one of the cars was confirmed dead at the scene.
It was a woman. The driver of the other car, a man, has been taken to hospital, says the police's press spokesperson Anders Dahlman.
The extent of the man's injuries is unknown, but according to the police, he was awake and able to speak.
The police are investigating how the fatal accident occurred and the cars have been seized.
