A person has been found dead after a fire in an apartment building in Östersund, the police report.
The deceased has not been identified, but relatives of the person who is believed to have been at the address have been notified.
The alarm came in at 9 am and when the rescue service arrived at the scene, the fire was burning fiercely. By 10 am, the fire could be extinguished.
Four people were evacuated from the house, which is adjacent to a nursing home. All of them have been taken care of by medical staff, according to the rescue service.
The extent of the injuries to the evacuees is unclear. According to P4 Jämtland, one person has been taken to hospital.
