During July, Elon Musk's space company Space X will launch two Norwegian satellites into space. The satellites will, among other things, provide the Arctic with broadband connectivity, which has not been possible before.
This is Norway's largest space project to date and the start of a new era for Norwegian space travel, says Defense Minister Bjørn Arild Gram (Center Party) to Aftenposten.
The satellites will primarily be used for civilian purposes, but the Norwegian and American defense will also make use of them, according to the minister.
