Norwegian oil discovery in the southern North Sea

The oil discovery was made with the help of a test drilling of a well and a so-called boundary well. The find is estimated to be 25-57 million barrels of oil equivalents and the licensed companies in the area will now evaluate a possible expansion of existing facilities in the large oil field where the test drilling took place.

DNO Norge has the operator's license, but the field also includes the companies Petoro, Aker BP and Source Energy as co-owners.
