The proportion of households that believe in rising housing prices in the coming year has increased by 2 percentage points to 48 percent. Fewer believe that prices will fall, and the proportion decreases by 2 percentage points to 13 percent.

”This month's increase should primarily be seen as a stabilization rather than a new surge for housing price expectations”, says SEB's private economist Américo Fernández in a press release.

SEB's housing price indicator increases by 4 units in August to plus 35. Households' expectations of the interest rate in one year are adjusted down to 2.19 percent.
